Accessing Databases off-campus and Book Renewals

Q: How can I access library databases and eBooks from off-campus?

A: Access to library database off-campus is password protected. On an off-campus login will currently direct you to a LIRN Login page. Currently, this login is generic for everyone. If you have lost or forgotten this information, then contact the library @ 417.268.6048.

Q: How can I renew my books? 

A: Call the library @ 417.268.6048, email us at library@mission.edu, or stop by and ask to renew. Online renewals through our new library system will be available soon.

Q: Where is the library building located?

A: The library is physically located on 730 E. Kearney, just east of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International (BBFI) World Missions Center. For map, click HERE.

Q: When is the library open?

Q: What is the number for the library front desk?

A: The Public Services/Circulation number is 417.268.6048. For a complete listing of numbers and contact information click HERE.

Q: Can anyone access the library?

A: No, you must have a Patriot ID Card to enter the building. Any visiting patrons need to call the library front desk at 417.268.6048 or call security at 417.268.6022. 

Q: How can alumni or connected friends of the school purchase a Patriot ID card?

Q: Is there WiFi in the Library?

A: Yes, the library has WiFi available in the building.

Q: What is the WiFi Password?

A: For this information, contact the Circulation desk at 417.268.6048. This information is also posted on the wall by the main circulation desk.

Q: How many computers are available in the library for student use?

A: There are 11 computers in the library portion of the building (1 stand-up computer for catalog use) and 4 computers in the Academic Resource Center (ARC) part of the building. 

Q: Can I print?

A: Yes, we have one printer located west of the 10 computers in the main portion of the library.

Q: Can I scan or copy?

A: Yes, both machines in the building allow you to print, scan, or copy.  

Q: Can I check out laptops or other electronic devices?

A: No, the library does not currently offer this service.
