We Are Mission University

Mission University, founded in 1950, is a private Christian college that specializes in ministry and professional studies degrees. Mission U has a long heritage of producing Christian professionals and ministers; offering accredited degrees at the associate, bachelor, and masters levels.

Mission University is in the business of seeing students’ lives changed through the Gospel to equip them to impact others for life change as well. This is our lifeblood. We are Mission U.

Founded in 1950, Mission University has a rich history and a strong foundation built on faith, purpose, and preparing students for a life of impact. We are proud of our deep roots and the generations of students who have been equipped to lead, serve, and make a difference around the world. Located in Springfield, Mission University is a community of believers, learners, and leaders united by a shared mission: to know Christ and make Him known. Through meaningful relationships, spiritual growth, and practical preparation, we continue to equip students for the calling God has placed on their lives.

Our Home Town

Springfield, Missouri

Mission University finds its home in Springfield, Missouri, a charming city full of one-of-a-kind attractions, historical treasures, entertaining sports, and a lively culture right on Route 66. Mission U is less than 4 miles from Downtown where one would find unique coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, and the Springfield famous, Hurt’s Donuts. While in Springfield, don’t forget to catch a Springfield Cardinals game in Hammon’s Stadium or visit the home of Bass Pro Shops! The locals never take for granted picking up a Jackhammer Concrete from Andy’s Frozen Custard located 2 miles down the road from Mission U or spending time at the Farmer’s markets Saturday mornings before trailing to the nearest seasonal festival. With ample coffee shops, hole-in-the-wall cuisine, and shopping selections there is never a dull moment in the home of Mission University.
