Mission University was founded in the fall of 1950 by a group of pastors and churches who shared a common vision to train pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders to plant churches in both the United States and around the world. From the early days, the College has achieved accreditation, offers degrees in both ministry studies and professional studies, and offers seminary degrees. Though the College has matured over time, the College maintains it’s distinctive as a Bible college. The mission of the College is to provide a transformative education by which students develop intellectually and spiritually, so that they might engage their world as committed followers of Jesus Christ.
It is important, therefore that the College recognize student achievement. One strategy is to recognize undergraduate academic achievement every semester. Students may qualify each semester for the Honor’s List or the President’s list.
Honor’s List
The Honor’s List is an indicator of high academic achievement earned by full-time undergraduate students who attained a grade point average of 3.50 – 3.74 during a semester. Students who have a grade of “D,” “F,” “W,” or an incomplete are not eligible for this award. The List is determined at the end of each semester by the Office of the Registrar and is entered on the student’s permanent record. Only the semester average is considered in computing grades and achievement level.
