Bachelor of Science Biblical Counseling

The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling is to prepare students, who are able to counsel individuals, couples, and families in a local church, para-church ministry, non-profit organization, or counseling center.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling, students will be able to:

1. Articulate a knowledge of biblical texts and a clear explanation of systematic theology consistent with Baptist distinctivesILO1
2. Properly interpret a biblical text and accurately communicate the meaning with appropriate implications in a counseling settingILO1
3. Engage in personal spiritual growth toward Christlikeness in preparation for counseling othersILO2
4. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of Biblical Counseling contentILO1
5. Develop skills related to Biblical Counseling as a ministry of/in the local churchILO3

The Assessment Schedule is a five-year schedule that indicates when each PLO will be assessed and when the Academic Program Review (APR) will occur.

Assessment Results (PLO Outcomes Data)

The Assessment Results is a document which lists the benchmarks and cumulative summative assessment scores for each individual PLO based upon the Assessment Plan. Data reflect findings from the most recent Academic Program Review (APR), which occurs every five years.
