Master of Arts: BIBLICAL STUDIES

The Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS) is a 36-hour degree that is designed to cultivate personal, professional, and spiritual formation through an in-depth study of God’s Word, equipping students with a solid understanding of biblical exegesis and interpretation, sound theology, and the practical application of that theology in the context of everyday life, local church ministry, and biblical education. This foundational theological education fits a wide range of students including pastors, church lay leaders, church elders, chaplains, ministers without formal training, and aspiring academics.

Upon completion of the Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, students will be able to:

1. Articulate a biblical position on theological doctrines, both from an exegetical and systematic approach consistent with Baptist distinctives. (ILO 1)

2. Demonstrate competency in preaching and teaching. (ILO 1; ILO 3)

3. Articulate and integrate a biblical leadership philosophy within personal and ministry contexts. (ILO 2)
