Master of Arts: Church Ministry

The Master of Arts in Church Ministry (MACM) is a 30-hour professional degree designed to meet the demands of ministry in the twenty-first century. The purpose of the program is to enhance the student’s skills and understanding related to contemporary ministry challenges and issues, including biblical leadership principles, biblical counseling, biblical interpretation, preaching and teaching, evangelism and discipleship, apologetics, contemporary theological issues, and practical application within the context of local church ministry. Students become active learners as they interact with colleagues and faculty while further developing and implementing biblical principles into daily ministry.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Master of Arts in Church Ministry, students will be able to:

1. Articulate a biblical position on theological doctrines, both from an exegetical and systematic approach consistent with Baptist distinctives. (ILO 1)

2. Demonstrate competency in preaching and teaching. (ILO 1; ILO 3)

3. Articulate and integrate a biblical leadership philosophy within personal and ministry contexts. (ILO 2)
