Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Master of Arts in Church Ministry, students will be able to:
1. Articulate a biblical position on theological doctrines, both from an exegetical and systematic approach consistent with Baptist distinctives. (ILO 1)
2. Demonstrate competency in preaching and teaching. (ILO 1; ILO 3)
3. Articulate and integrate a biblical leadership philosophy within personal and ministry contexts. (ILO 2)
Program Mission
The mission of the Master of Arts in Church Ministry program is to enhance the student’s skills and understanding related to contemporary ministry challenges and issues, including biblical leadership principles, biblical counseling, biblical interpretation, preaching and teaching, evangelism and discipleship, apologetics, contemporary theological issues, and practical application within the context of local church ministry. The emphasis is to help meet the demands of ministry in the twenty-first century for those involved in a local church ministry.
