Description
The full-time Senior Pastor is charged with the responsibility of overseeing the church family and ministering to their spiritual needs, preaching and teaching the Word of God, declaring the whole counsel of God and the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and generally directing the entire church program, with all members of the ministry and administrative staff responsible to him for the performance of their duties. The Senior Pastor is responsible to our Lord and Savior and to the entire congregation. His immediate accountability group is the current Deacon Body officers.
- Perform baptisms, christenings, dedications, funerals and weddings.
- Lead ministerial and deacon training and ordinations.
Represent church in community/neighborhood affairs. - Provide counseling and guidance to individuals in need.
- Schedule outside speakers into our organization.
- Participate in oversight of the finances.
- Deliver weekly sermons and conduct worship services.
- Teach weekly bible study classes.
- Live in community preferably.
- Supervise paid employees.
- Mentor and guide youth pastor.
- PREACH THE GOSPEL
